A Dedicated Team
The Board is responsible for managing the association and organizing the program for members. The law regulates this as follows: The Board has the right and the duty, within the powers granted to it by the statutes, to manage the affairs of the association and to represent the association. This is set out in Article sixty-nine of the Civil Code.
The Board of lupus suisse is responsible, in accordance with Art. 7 of the statutes, for managing the association and conducting the annual General Assembly. It maintains contact with members and organizes offerings such as medical lectures and workshops. The Board raises public awareness about Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
The Board members are elected by the General Assembly for two years. The Board consists of at least five members. The Board members work on a voluntary basis.
Being a Board member of lupus suisse is a significant commitment. It is fulfilling to be able to meaningfully apply one’s own experiences and skills. Serving as a Board member brings joy and gives back a great deal. We are grateful for the warm contacts with members, with individuals affected by lupus and their families, with physicians, authorities, and other interested parties.

Our commitment on the Board is voluntary. Some of us are affected by lupus ourselves. We do our best to respond to questions and concerns as quickly as possible. If we are unable to do so immediately and as quickly as expected, we ask for your understanding.
lupus suisse
was founded in nineteen eighty-seven and continues as a non-profit association within the meaning of Art. 60 et seq. of the Civil Code.
In addition to the statutes, which were last revised by the General Assembly on August 22, 2020, there are also operational regulations as well as other business policy and organizational guidelines.
