What relatives say

Reports from relatives

On this page, you will find personal accounts written by relatives. They, too, are affected when a loved one is diagnosed with lupus. In these accounts, they describe the challenges they face. The situation can be stressful, and relatives may feel powerless or at a loss.

It is only recently that healthcare professionals have begun to be better prepared to involve family members and to recognise that they, too, may need support.

We have obtained the consent of the relatives whose personal accounts you can find here to make their texts available to members on our website.

We would like to thank all the relatives of those affected who have shared their stories with us and with our members!
